Improv Patchwork Sewing on the machine

Great for beginners or sewists who want to loosen up and play! In this workshop we will experiment with sewing a few basic quilt blocks using scraps (bring your own or just use mine!). Bring your own machine or rent one!

1pm-3pm

Technique Demos include Intuitive Quilting/ Improve Quilting - Piece together - Curves, Triangles, LogCabin. Other demos will be done depending on what projects attendees bring.

Work on whatever project you would like- or sew samples! Schedule time to sew and be inspired by other local creatives.

*Attendees must sign up by the day before the lesson. 2 people must be signed up by the day before, if only one person is signed up- workshop is subject to cancellation (signup with a friend!). River reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops for personal reasons. Students will be notified via email of any cancellations.

Supplies: Sample fabric and some scissors are provided and shared. Bring your own machine and any supplies you prefer (fabric scissors, fabric, pins, etc. for your own projects/mending. Some supplies available for purchase upon request. Please communicate your wants & needs, I might have what you need! Sewing machines rentals available upon request.
